Over/Under with Tony & Rodney: Will Brees set NFL history on SNF?

Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison join Elliot Kalb in the green room to play over/under for next week’s Sunday Night Football game between the Saints and the Chargers. Will we see Drew Brees set NFL history with a touchdown pass in his 48th consecutive game?

Last year the Rams played one of their better games against the Saints and harassed Brees all day long. With a minute left in the game, which was hopelessly lost at the time, Brees did not have a TD pass, so he went on a desperation drive and scored with about 15 seconds left.
I think to do this just to keep his streak alive was a pretty selfish act and therefore lessens the legitimacy of his record. It reminds me of the time Favre took a dive to help Strahan set a sack record.

Was the TD pass in dispute? Is that why you think it lessons the legitimacy of this record? Did the defense just lie down and let Brees have the touchdown pass just to keep the streak alive? Not sure how playing untill the final whistle would lesson this record in any way, but I guess we can all have our own opinion.
